Nauvoo Temple with the Jordan Family
Today was a wonderful day! We left at around 6:30am this morning and drove down to Nauvoo. Today was a big day for some friends, the Jordan Family. Carla went through the temple for the first time and then the entire family (Sydney, Carla, and their 3 kids) were sealed together. It was a very emotional time for everyone there. Many people from our ward were there to support them. We all love the Jordan family and to see them all in white in the temple was wonderful!
While we were in the temple, Sarah and Brittany did a great job watching the rest of our kids as well as the kids from 2 other families. We were kind of nervous about letting them walk around Nauvoo by themselves for a few hours, but they did great! They walked around to many of the sites, hung out in the visitor’s center, and enjoyed the perfect, cloudless day! It was kind of stressful for them having all the other kids, but they made it through and had a great time!
It was a quick turnaround for all of us and turned out to be a very long day, but a very enjoyable one. 4 hours drive down, 6 hours in Nauvoo, and 4 hours drive back home. We are all very tired but it was great to support such wonderful friends.
