Over the last two days, Kirstyn had singing and acting auditions for the school musical. She was highly complimented on her abilities and she feels she did a great job. She’s just waiting to hear news on whether she made call-backs or now. We’ll keep our fingers crossed. We also got a fun letter from
Tonight Kirstyn had the band feeder concert for all the elementary schools and middle school. The high school performed as well to show what the culmination of practice would look like. They sounded really good and the younger kids were really amazed to listen to the CVHS band! 🙂
Kirstyn has decided she wants to audition for this year’s school musical which is “Once Upon a Mattress.” She had the kick-off meeting for auditions and details today. Best of luck Kirstyn!
Today we unpacked all of the furniture, artwork, and all the accessories for the new church building and set everything up. There was a LOT to do, but there were a whole bunch of people there to help so it went pretty fast. Sunday is our first Sunday in the building and we’re excited! Tonight
Today, we all went over to clean our brand new church building to get it ready to open! There was a LOT of construction dust and grit all over. We got really dirty but the church looked really good when we were done! 🙂 As you can see, Ben had a lot of fun too!
Our back yard is now complete and we love it! It took a bit with the torrential downpours we got and other weather-related issues, but it’s done and we couldn’t be happier! The only thing we don’t have done quite yet is the planter boxes. We’ll fill those with dirt and get the drip line
Happy Halloween everyone! Tonight, Angela and I went out with the boys, while Kirstyn and Melinda Liddell stayed back, watched Disney movies, and handed out candy. Tonight they had a feeder choir concert at the high school where they invited all the choirs from the elementary schools and middle school to sing together. Brittany was able to participate in that in Versailles. Unfortunately, with the late start and because the school is new, Aspen View Academy didn’t get to participate in
Tonight we were invited over to the Rollingson’s home for a Halloween party. It was a ton of fun! We had some great food, and then in groups we went out on a flashlight scavenger hunt for candy. They have about 10 acres or so of mostly unimproved land, so it was like taking a
Tonight we had trunk-or-treat at the church and had a great time! There were a few Captain America costumes there, and one of Ben’s good friends dressed up like that as well! 🙂 There was a pumpkin carving contest tonight as well. Zach came up with this crazy idea of having the “Halliday Haunted Hotel”
Tonight, Brittany and Angela went to a Utah State reception (similar to the one that Sarah and Angela went to in Illinois). Brittany took her ACT score and transcript with, hoping to get accepted and to get some scholarship money… She was accepted and given the out-of-state tuition scholarship! 🙂 She is SO excited! Right
