Tonight marked another piece of history, as the Metea Valley High School Music Department held it’s very first Fall Band, Chorus, and Orchestra concerts!  It’s funny to say that, because everything at Metea this year is a first.  🙂  It just sounds cool saying that, so we keep it up!

Sarah did very well in her performance.  She played both the flute and  piccolo and had two solo parts in different songs!  She was very sick and stayed home from school today, but was rested up enough to drag herself to the concert and make the band director very relieved!  She still  felt horrible, but she played well!

They recorded the performance and are making CDs for everyone who wants to buy one.  We are thinking about it!

As usual, Ben decided to get fussy, and so I ended up taking him out after just the second song of the night.  We walked around the school, laughed and giggled, and took a bunch of pictures.

We would go back to the door and listen to the concert until he would get fussy again and want to run and play.  We did get to hear all of Sarah’s songs from right outside the door, however!  🙂  Keep up the great work, Sarah, and GO MUSTANGS!
